After an intervention it is important to ensure that the person who was living in a situation of Squalor and Hoarding is given the support and assistance they need to ensure that the situation does not revert. This may be in the way of case management, lifestyle skills assistance, domestic assistance or mental health support. There are a number of service providers who can assist with these. Costs for these services will vary across service providers as will the assessment process and eligibility criteria. It is suggested that you contact the organisation for information regarding the suitability of your client, neighbour, relative etc. You can also access information regarding the ongoing support services within your area by contacting Commonwealth Carelink Centre on 1800 052 222.
